Peacock look

So like I said a while back, I got my make-up from Coastal Scents. And I got a chance to go all out with it last friday, at a carnival party. I went as a peacock, and here is how that looked

Coastal Scents, ILU

I seriously love, love, love Coastal Scents. It’s got to be my new favourite brand! I ordered their 88 piece makeup palette in both matte and shimmer, their contour and blush palette and a lipgloss, which I got two days ago. And as I’ve stated in an earlier post, makeup in Norway is VERY expensive, and the prices at Coastal Scents are like a wet dream for makeup enthusiasts like myself. Even with a shipment fee of 30 dollars, it’s STILL cheaper than anything I can find here!

Okay, so I got the package in my mailbox, and my mum, who was at home at the time, was super excited (even though she told me to stop spending money at makeup – hah) and sendt me a text message asking if she could open it. And in my first free period at school I drove home. I unwrapped the package and opened, and I was close to screaming in pure joy. The colours are so pretty! And so pigmented! It takes no amount of it at all to place a nice and dense colour on your lid! I’m serious, they look just as perfect as they do in the picture! (which is from coastalscents.com)

I highly recommend this amazing brand. It’s awesome, really! Especially if you’re looking for a palette with a lot of colours, like I was

Also, there is a carnival party tomorrow, and I can’t wait to do my makeup – I will probably be doing my friends’ makeup as well

Sick

Okaaay. So, last week I was home from school the whole week because of some throat infection or something, and I was put on antibiotics. I was done with my antibiotics tuesday morning, but I didn’t seem to get any better. And yesterday, I looked into my mouth, and found that I have WHITE SPOTS in my throat. Icky. Really, really icky. It looks like spots of toothpaste or something. Graaagh. And now it hurts so bad I can’t eat anything except yoghurt and bananas. So I’ve made myself two cups of instant cocoa already, and it’s only half past eleven in the morning.

So I’m at home, watching Oprah, and wating for my doctor to call.

Well, I’m not going to bitch about my illness, it’s just depressing

On a side note, how awesome is Wanda Sykes?? She was at Oprah, talking about how she’d tuck John and Kate into that hot-air balloon. Awesome. So I decided that this woman is too funny to not check out. And I found, among others, this awesome clip from her stand-up show, where she talks about gay marriage. Watch it, it’s worth it!

So, what else do I do when I’m ill?

I design shit. Today, I made a make-up template, you know, a sheet with a face where you draw on make-up. Now, I was browsing for some inspirational make-up photos, and I came across this.

How beautiful is this? Everything from the colours to the shapes, I think it’s perfect. I’ll definetly suggest a look inspired by this to my friends for this year’s carnival party

Oh, and I re-checked the shipment date for my Coastal Scents package. Turns out it’s on it’s way, and I’m receiving it next week. That was an excellent cheer-up I can’t WAIT to try out all the colours, mix them up, experiment and just go wild with them

Make-up and nail polish

So I went to buy make-up two days ago. There was 20% off everything from MaxFactor. Which isn’t even my favourite brand but who cares. So I bought a turquoise glitter eye liner, a turquoise shimmer eye shadow, an orange and gold duo shimmer eye shadow, and two bottles of nail polish in golden yellow and silver glitter. I also FINALLY got around to order two of the 88 pieces eye shadow palettes from Coastal Scents, along with a blush palette and a lip gloss. Got the confirmation is my e-mail inbox, along with an e-mail from the shipping company which said that the shipment was ready to send in May or June or something.

Which sucks. I kind of was hoping I could get it sooner. Oh well. I’m super excited anyway. Make-up is really expensive in Norway, so even with a shipment fee of 36 dollars everything is still cheeper than anything I can find here. And the colours look just amazing! The picture is from their site.

Oh, about my nail polish. I’ve tried it on, and I just have to say that I love Depend. The bottles are perfect size, so that you can actually use all of it before it expires. Which is great, because I like to vary the colour of my nails, and not use the same twice in a row. The selection in my town isn’t really that great, I’d have to drive for like an hour to find a shop with some selection. Which is fine. Or else I’d just spend all my money here
